Header Wrap

Will header wrap work better for keeping the heat down in my sled better than those tin plates under the hood. I have two layers of it on the header and turbo and one on the exhaust.

same concept as the evo blankets only your turbo isnt wrapped but it should help. get the wrap as tight as you can looks like its loose

I used 1" on my 1100 header when I had it. I wrapped the header with the header wrap wet. I also like the black DEI wrap over the white. Then when you are done start your sled and let it dry out the wrap and it will become like a cast hard on the pipe and header.

An easier alternative is the header blankets. Much less mess and you wont be itching from the fiberglass in the wrap.

header wrap

it works good i removed the header to wrap it use mig welder wire to hold in place every couple of inches evos header blanket is cheap enough and covers the turbo better than u can wrap it .i did only a single warp and the wire likes to poke holes in your fingers

We did wrap before Evo blankets came out, then just the blankets and never looked back. Someone is not going to pay a shop to do wrap at shop rates so the blankets are cheaper and more effective in the long run. I ran blankets over top of the wrap on my header and downpipe. Never have too much on the 'ol 1100.

PS. Evo hasn't made the black style blankets in 18 months. I only do the titanium ones since they came out. Kevlar is so much better and multi install friendly. The black ones not so much.
