Headed to Island Park need input

OK guys heres the deal the only way I can make it out west is to bring my wife along for our anniversary trip;)
Looking for places to ride and places to stay.
Found a few online but I'm wanting the real deal not their internet hyped up plans!!
As far as riding I would like to make it to yellowstone, for a day is that possible? My wife not a rookie on a sled but not an aggressive rider as for me ill try anything once.
Any input is greatly apperciated.

Unless you get some 4-strokes w/a guided tour, or take a snow coach you can't get into Yellowstone Park. As far as other riding goes there is great snow in I.P. right now and numerous trail systems which allow any skill level to have a nice ride, and most trails have many areas that you can take off for a few minutes and do some climbing and/or boondocking. I've never stayed in any of the hotels in the area since we have a cabin on Henry's, but there are many to choose from throughout Island Park, and many more in West Yellowstone. Have fun.

West Yellowstone/Island Park

You'll see postings here from the Golden West Hotel. Great place in West Yellowstone along with the Lazy G Hotel. or the Comfort Inn. All good places. No problems riding the trails, some for everyone and groomed to perfection, She'll love you for taking her there. Get ready for benefits from her!

We are actually thinking of staying at Anglers Lodge Henry's Fork.
Can we get a guided tour from there through Yellowstone for a day?
Is a day enough in Yellowstone? Anybody know anything about Angelrs lodge? How about night life? Places to go things to see?
Thanks alot to those who reply I really want this to go over without a hitch
Peace

If you have any interest in nite life, stay in West Yellowstone. Also it is easy to arrange the park tour from there. Some hotels (Holiday Inn, Stage Coach) have everything. Restaurants, rentals, tours, lounges etc. Why stay out in the boonies if you want to go to the park. Stage Coach is dead center in the middle of town BTW. Have fun.

Ditto what gearhead said - night action is mostly in West Yellowstone and you can access the park right from there. IP is spread out, a few bars, but widely scattered, then you have to worry about driving around at night, slick roads and a designated driver. If you really want to stay in IP, I would recommend Ponds as a place for lodging, eating, sledding from your doorstep and some nightlife all on the premises, but quite a ways from Yellowstone Park.

Anglers Lodge is a great place to stay. I know the owner personally and he is a great guy.

We will be staying at Ponds Lodge #19 because our friend owns it. It is a very nice cabin otherwise we would be staying at Anglers too.

When we stay in island park we stay at the Pines. Really nice cabins with everything you need. check it out.
