Headed to Halfway...

Heading down this week to ride in Halfway... not really sure were to go. We have heard great things so here we come.

Group of 4 guys on capable sleds and not interested in a trail ride. If anyone wants to hook up and show around a bit ... or even give us directions to the best place to unload at.

Riding Friday and Saturday for sure sunday and thursday are up in the air.

Was looking today and did not find info on out of state registration... is there one, do we need something else?

I did find that a snopark permit is needed for sure. Just want to follow the rules. Would be helpful if you know of a location in this area that sell's these things.

Not 100 percent sure, but believe if your sled is registered and licensed in another sate it is ok in Oregon. Your snow park permit can be purchased at an Oregon DMV. Can't remember for sure, but you can purchase a yearly for $20. They also sell shorter term permits for less, not sure of the exact number of days permits are good for or cost. Hope this helps, have fun and be careful.

Watch out for slides it was sliding pretty bad last weekend and they have lots of new snow on top of that bad layer. Slides were small about 6" cuts but going off by themselves so with the new snow if it goes to that old layer it could be a descent amount. But on the good side should be lots deep. Been snowing all week.
