hcx heelclicker roller secondary clutch

hi guys.i am trying to install this on my rx1 and when i put it on the belt doesnt come all the way to the top .what is causing this problem.i am using the yellow spring .isnt the belt suppose to come to the top .thanks for any help.

clutch

have you tried driving it and seeing if it will come up? do you have any shims inbetween to stop clutch from closing all the way? or is there set screws to adjust how much it opens.

the shieves are perfectly closed when i install it .it is when i put the belt on that it doesnt come to the top .i tried different spring winds and still cant get belt to the top .something isnt right .thanks for the reply.i sled is off the ground so i can run the track .

yes it is a yamaha belt.i even tried a different yamaha belt.i stick to yamaha belts because they are the best for turbo sleds.something isnt right ,cant get the belt to the top ,even with the sled running.thanks for the help.

is the outer diameter of the clutch a little bigger then that of the yammi clutch? perhaps the belt is coming up as far as it can go, but the clutch is bigger and so it looks as though it is not coming up high enough?

clutch is the same size.has anyone used one of these hcx rigid roller secondary ,or are they garbage.why would it not allow the belt to come to the top.it sits about 1/4 of an inch from the top.something isnt right, thanks for any help.

I ran one of these on my polaris mod and did not have the problem you are experiencing, had other issues though. Anyways if your belt deflection is correct and i assume it is, and there are no shims left between the sheaves then the problem would have to be with the machining of the secondary. I believe mine came with two shims between the sheaves (don't recall thickness) i had removed both and ran an adjustable threaded tensioner. If you have removed the shims and the sheaves are actually touching each other, then you have no adjustment left to bring the belt up any higher. I would contact Super torquer and ask them whats up.

i talked to randy at heelclicker and he said to remove the the shim in the center of the shieves and i did it today and still the same issue.the shim wasnt very thick either.i took the spacer out and put the hcx back together and put back on the sled and still the same results .i am getting frusterated with this secondary .probably going to sell this piece of **** secondary.i had a borrowed roller rooster on my sled a couple years ago and it worked awesome but i had to return it.better then this pos hcx rigid secondary.thanks for the help.
