HCR ski pressure Help?

I have a 09 HCR , the problem I am having is front ski pressure. I have seen the threads on no ski lift, but not anything about ski pressure when it is going slow. I have got the sled to stand straight up (If I need) when going up a hill or going over a bump. But going slow or starting out, It has way to much pressure and hurts my arms after awhile to try to turn it. Any help on solving this ?
p.s. I have lossened the front ski springs, helped some but need more.

If you look under the tunnel theres a backing plate by the front, top, rear suspension arm mount drill out the lower hole and move the mount down. greatly reduced my ski pressure

That would make it have more front end lift, and I dont need that, i just need it at slow speed on the flat. Thanks anyway. Maybe shock rebuild.

ps I do have slp Powder pros, love them in the powder.

Tighten the front skid shock. If this creates more lift you can add a tad to the float to counteract this, between the front, rear & skis you'll find what you need.

Another way to do it would be to drop the front skid mount, this allows you to pull ski pressure, but keep the skid the same way you want it. It will increase ski lift slightly, but once again, you can counteract this with a bit more pressure in the rear, or by simply decreasing the front shock preload.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. When you drop the front of the skid to the lower hole, do you need to worry about stabbing the track in the rails ...ie Do you have to add anti-stab kit?

An anti-stab kit is probably a good idea if you lower the front of the skid. I don't have one yet though. It's not showing any excessive wear on the front rail bumpers but I'm currently running a pretty tight track, at least till i get the anti-stab kit.

The Geo mod is amazing in the snow; makes the front end a lot lighter, and the sled becomes a lot easier to throw around. that being said it didn't do anything for ski pressure while traveling at slow speeds on a trail.
