Well folks... the official start of the sled season is upon us...

Haydays is this weekend.

New products from a lot of different companies will be on display as this is the "roll-out" for many.

Will we see a new Polaris Racer to replace the venerable IQR?

Keep a look out for us... Post up some pics and descriptions if you get them here in this thread...

PRAY FOR SNOW!!!

Didn't see much new other than what's been covered here in length. It was nice to put hands on the new 800 which was there in a cut away form. What was interesting was the Doo tent constantly firing t-shirts into the Poo tent area trying to draw attention and 2 Yamaha dudes with cameras taking close up photos of the components of the Poo chassis. Seriously regret not taking a pic of that but honestly we were too busy laughing. Lol

Racer... in its 10 year now.

2015 Polaris Racer...

Refinements.... but same chassis... Still competitive after 10 years now!!

Here are some pics that were sent to me. Kinda reminds me of the 2006 red/black 900 Fusion.

Yep those yamaha guys sure where studying the polaris's. Taking pics and taking notes. I watched them do the same thing last year to.

Maybe its staged by Polaris. Don't the OEM's pretty much swap sleds anymore??? Even if they didn't, how hard would it be for them to discretely get one??? Instead of doing it in plain sight at Haydays.

More Pics of the Non-stock racers?

Any close up pics of the white Mystic Polaris sled in the background? Some interesting tweaks to the front suspension and spindles.

Mystik IQR

Looks like a cat spindle.:face-icon-small-sho

But it's not a Cat spindle... Must be a Team-Polaris custom part...

As good as they look... funny we are not seeing them on production IQR's???

Here is a photo of the cat spindle.

This increases the Roll Center of the vehicle, meaning the sled will stay flatter and take more force to lift the inside ski in a turn.

This is not a positive on a mountain sled and is the reason BDX makes a short spindle a-arm kit for the Arctic Cat sleds.

If you're talking Haydays, there's less innovation every year. Space isn't cheap; it's not the rule - but generally you're either moving known products that have volume potential, or really just (expensive) marketing. Swap is the target for many goers, along with the event. Lots of sleds were for sale, but didn't see a lot of them moving on Sat. Diamond S was moving lots of TI cans from what they said, FWIW.

The reports from my buddies that went said things were moving very well. The group sent 8 sleds 2-4 years old and all of them were sold by noon Saturday. They priced them right, but not stupid cheap and they went fast. Guys were pretty excited.

Also talked to a couple of vendors who said it was the best Haydays ever for them.

Any one get good pictures of the Front A-arms on Burandt's sled?

No but that thing was wicked. I love how he had the adj skinz boards raised up and cut the tunnel off underneath for even more clearance.

What I thought was even more cool was that he was just hanging out behind the counter selling DVDs and hats or whatever just like a normal dude taking people's money, making change and BSing.
