I met the group on Lolo and chuckled to myself as you all passed here and there running all over the hills like little ants. I was on my souped up 1000 and thought myself much cooler than ya'll.

Your tracks all over the place seemed odd as to the lines you were picking and they dont even look that comfortable to ride!

We had a fun day and I wore out my wife and my 2 first time sled guests and we made our way back to the warming hut and my gosh there they all were again. We walked into the warming hut and I was apprehensive to be around this "crazed" bunch and this really tall guy who seemed to be like one of those kids toys you pull the string on and he just talked and talked and talked well he was telling his story to anyone who would listen. He looked at my friend and asked if her would like to ride one... MY ears perked up and I knew I must befriend this gentle giant who was offering rides. So I asked about Snowest and blah blah blah 5 minutes and music to my ears I was walking towards my helmet as the words were still leaving his lips.

He mentioned tipping over but it was amazing to quickly learn what they were somewhat capable of and I had a blast ripping up a hillside that I would normally drive right past on my sled. I think he was trying to catch me but I was up down across side to side and he finally ran me down. Back to the hut we went and my smile was met with a not so kind comment to the tall guy who had launched right back another "live commercial"!

SO out to the parking lot we went me aboard the Hawk and him on my sled. :) Once again ripping up sidehills that I would normally drive right past I was dropping back onto the trail and hit a knarly hole and over I went and I hear Tall Guy shouting YAHHHHHHHHHH over the din of motor! Hauled it back on its feet and away I went.

My questions are it was seemingly a little hard to control on the trail seemed to want to go its own way not mine.. felt like I was forcing it I am sure its just getting used to it.

How do you tie them down and how do you load them on a trailer?

And is it ok if I pick up one in Lower Idaho this weekend? Found an 04 600 with a RKT 734 and lots of goodies digital readout, 12 gal tank, hand guards, hoops on rails to save poking hole in track and several more things...for less than 6 grand

I aint learning no secret handshake... tooo much tooo fast

Bitten

So you met Tony. Tony also got me to ride one, he ran me until I could'nt go anymore. I can't say my first day was alot of fun. The next day I figured it out and three weeks later I got one. All I can say is Tony is Tony, but me and my Family love him.

My first day was a blast and I told my friends and wife how can ya help but not just like the guy!

Trail riding will take a little time before you are super comfortable but when you get it, it can be very satifying. I ride a fair amount of trail on mine and my friends have a hard time keeping up when the trail gets twisty.

super

Glad to hear your hawk bitten. Buy up these used hawks quickly and enjoy what is left of winter.

I do have a brand new 600 with eagle hood wrap for sale if anyone wants a new machine. 8K. also have a 503 for sale.

734 !

Hey drphil , im not positive but i think that is the #3 hawk that i put a 734 in a few years ago, so it will be easy to give you a hand getting it set up for here . Its a good motor ive been running mine for 4 years now

Tony and Steve are probably the best thing that ever happened to AD Bovin, it's too bad AD Bovin couldn't figure that out!! I never met 2 people who are more passionate about the Hawk and have almost lost everything while trying to put Snow Hawk on the map. You guys rock!! It's good to see we are getting guys off their 2 skis and finding out that we 1 skis know what the he!! we are talking about.

I rode down here in Idaho over the weekend with 3 guys that had never ridden with a hawk before. they asked my buddy if I was going to be able to keep up with them. His response was "the question is can you keep up with him!!! "

I was bummed that I was unable to make it up there with you guys, seeing how Hawk fest was an Idea of mine and Steve (at B's outback), we just never had a chance to put it together before Tony latched on to the Idea and followed through with it. Thanks Tony!! I hope to make it next year!!!!!

I too was like Dr. Phil

I actually called up Tony to try to rent a machine as I saw his web-site. I had never even seen a hawk in person much less seen one go on snow.
He would not rent one to me. Crazy!!
But he did mention one for sale in my area.. Hinting that I should go look at it. A 503f. So I went out checked it out, himed and hawed.
And bought it. My thoughts were if I did not like it I would sell it.
Now to the point.
I was new to the area, had not snowmobiled, and knew nothing about snowhawks or the yahoo's tha rode them. I had not met Tony in person. Yet I called him up once again to see if I could go riding with anyone out there that would have me and that also rode a snowhawk.
Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah. On and on as we all know he can do.
But he did offer me a chance to go riding with him and his possie.
My thoughts in the back of my head. Great, I need to go with someone that rides, but is this the group I should be going with. They might be a bunch of drunks for all I know.
I went anyways.
Life Changing.
Alls I can say is I have met most of my friends in the area thru the sport and Tony and the gang are awesome.
Thanks for pushing me into it.
