Alrighty guys give it your feedback.

Also I was hoping we would use the same logo we used for last year that Theirry created, it is by far the sweetest looking logo and simply change the dates and place. I want to use the logo on the flyers and the awards I will be handing out.
Now I invite you guys to all bring your something from your local area to donate as a prize from the group. Maybe some Wisonsin cheese, or some Alaskan smoked salmon, some Utah (what comes from Utah). Anyhow bring some local flavor to have fun with the group.

How about some smoked salmon and some smoked Halibut, I think I can handle that. 7 am is gonna be tough on sat and sun mornings, but I guess i'll have to bring the hangover cure along so I can manage. We are not headed back until wednesday so hopefully one or more of you local guys will be able to ride on monday and possibly tuesday. Some kind of cross-country race would be really cool, I hope we can do somthing like that.

hey guys from wisconsin, cheese curds baby cheese curds

I'll say it one more time...

I'd add the following to the schedule:

Sunday 1PM - 20 min Enduro Race in an "on-the-fly" designed course consisting ideally of all these stuffs: National MX style start (40 Hawks wide, hell yeah !), turns, stretches, climbs, few natural jumps, downhills, technical section, tight tree sections. All 1 ski machine showing up at Hawkfest should participate... Hahaha ! That would make GREAT footage !!! Hawks being roosted by Explorer kits ! (Am I getting it wrong here ???) LOL !

If the guys from wisconsin bring cheese curds, I'll show you guys how we make a REAL poutine, Québec style !

Theirry what day are you getting there

I would love for you to work with the local guys and setup a course ahead of time???

Hey do you still have the 07 Hawk logo??? Can we edit and resuse it, it would be neat to start it as a traditional logo.

Also sorry for the early 7 am start but it gives everyone a chance to roll out of bed--ready to ride by 9 works though because it give everyone a pretty good window to get ready whatever your routine is.

where to ride at hawkfest

Mt Fuji is one of the areas we think would be good for one day. Park at the pass or go right from the hot springs. A pretty big riding area with lots of different terrain available. Another spot could be Beaver ridge, parking is not so great but its easy to get there and usually good snow. Either or both places could work at least for 2 days of the fest. We plan on scoping these areas out prior to hawkfest checking the snow conditions and take a few pictures.

I don't know about that, I think Justin & I will be arriving there friday night... I just can't leave work for 2-3 days.

I suggest the following: the local guys need figure out a cool course layout somewhere in an area they know that would not be too challenging but still interesting so everyone can participate, including the now famous & legendary kick-as$ bike kits. Then on sunday, once everyone has changed jets twice saturday and finally get their Hawks running ok at that elevation, we have the local guys to break the "trail", we then should have a hot lap, after that we line up, 40 Hawks wide and we take off.

We'll need a hot chick to drop the 30 sec board willing to drop some clothes so we get a nice picture of the start ! Anyone's girlfriend... ? If we find one, I'll design & make a 30 sec board, no $hit !

The idea behind that is to have an "enduro" race to happen once in the lifetime of the Hawk history... ! Let's make it happen at '09 Hawkfest and get some nice souvenir of that race on photo & video.

Rules should be: Keep it friendly, we won't play rough, we all have to drive or fly back home on monday.

I'm game. Its either checkers or wreckers. I think it would be a hoot to have some good old FUN competition. The most Hawks i have ever road with was four including me. So I game for just about anything. from Hill climb to Drag races to cross country. Hell i think a Hill cross would be a blast.:D

Hawkfest exclusive...

So when calling to book the room please make sure you tell them you are with Hawkfest. We have pretty much reserved the whole hotel.
They may tell you it's booked otherwise.

Do we trailer from resort

ON Saturday and Sunday do we travel from resort cabins to ride areas by truck or do we ride from cabins?? How much snow is there right now? My buddies rode Lookout Pass(St Regis basin area) last weekend and said it was pretty good coverage.

On saturday were thinking of riding beaver ridge lookout area ,about 10 miles away to unload cause there is a family fun run on that day so this way we miss all the sled congestion on the immediate hotsprings area plus there is ez access for the less experienced but on another route we can climb some awsum and fairly exreme to get there ! So there will be good riding for every skill level ..... and for some of our gas hauling sled friends ! ;) Right now there is from 4 1/2 to 7 plus feet in that area good base , go where you want in 1 to 2 ft of powder !

Radios

We would also like to try and get everyone that can to bring radios , with the area we have to ride it doesnt always take much for someone to see new snow and before they relize they are two drainages away and sometimes lost so we want to be able to have a way to keep in contact just in case ! :D

Check this place out also for rooms

Lolo Trail Center is located also on the property and the place is beautiful

Two Queens $129 they have a variety of rooms they offer.
$10 per person after that.
If funding is an issue for rooms please get on the forum and find someone to room with or give me a call and I will help find someone cool to room with.

All properties are located in the same complex.

Ya ;But did you find out if they had running water;and or if you have a bath room in your room.
I found that several cabins have no running water and you have to use a common bath

Yeah book at the hotel since some of the cabins aren't so hot. Also there is rooms in town. The place I just listed is really nice so I would book with others to save money.
Have you contacted any of the WA riders to carpool.

Tentative schedule. We will wait to get confirmation of the riding areas days beforehand to make sure the areas are perfect!!!
