So I am having trouble getting full shift out on my 2011 pro 155, have 1" plus of marker left on the primary face after marking it with a jiffy and after 3 days of ridding with many LONG WFO pulls. Here is my set up, PAR Head 13-1 25% av gas. boondocker box, mtnk fix kit, balanced and machined clutch with 62g belly busters with slp blue pink spring, 60-40 helix with black purple spring and delrins. C3 belt drive 2:30 ratio and 7 tooth drivers with camo X3 track. I did not notice any difference with the stock helix. I am pulling 8100 sometime 8200, all riding under 7000' in hard set up snow last weekend. I don't really wanna gear any lower as i already am around that 2:40ish ratio with the smaller drivers and need a bigger bottom gear that cost 250 bucks. Do I need a smaller helix? Thanks for any help.

you're only going to see full shift out at top speed, which is still probably 70mph with your gearing. if I were you I would be more concerned about being at a one to one ratio in max load conditions. Like 40mph at 8200 rpm. Mid-climb conditions. Full shift out just means you are going way too fast for that track.

HMMM interesting I never thought of it that way, any other sled that I had played with the clutching, gearing etc I was usually able to get it to 1/2-3/8 of a inch of marker left on the primary, Just thought I am leaving lots on the table and not using all the clutch thats available.

yup remember the best efficiency of power transmission is at 1:1 ratio, or 1/2 shiftout, that's what you want is a hard pull uphill, and the 3x track takes abunch of power. (could try one step lower finish spring in the primary, ie the slp blue/red and shoot for 8300 in apull) Try a long pass wfo on a flat meadow it will shift to the point of the power limit there i'm betting

Ya I did a few wot pulls in a meadow. The snow was fairly set up and was prob close to 1000' long. Might have to try that red spring once see what happens. Thanks

I had issues with low trackspeed with the black-purple sec. Spring.
Switched to the black-red and prefer it.
Black purple would hold rpm well just would never shift out.
