I was wondering what business everyone might use to have a sled shipped. I just bought a sled in Utah and my truck gets 8mpgs on a good day.

Sled needs to be crated with skis removed for the best rates with a loading dock or forklift at both ends. Should be class 100 if it meets these criteria. If you just call up a LTL carrier you will pay through the nose. Joe Blow calling up pays the full retail price with no discounts. Just to give you an idea, a business that ships regularly often gets upwards of a 80% discount with carriers such as Old Dominion. If you go through a broker such as freight center, you will get the benefits of the large discounts. It can be done for $300-$500.
