have you moded your pro air box?

I installed 2 slp flow rites on the hood under the gauge and removed the air horns in the hood but left the ones in the airbox alone because I was told not to mess with those ones. It seemed to perk it up.

the only thing I have seen the pro need air wise is slp's powder valves(or a flow rite in the same spot on the airbox),,,thats it you can submarine it all day without missing a beat...

Mine is gutted...that is right - shelf and air horns removed. This is the way it came from Carl's Cycle. Called Jack Struthers to confirm this was correct and he said yes. I have a stage 4 kit too though.

does anyone have pics of wear they put the extra intakes thanks again

I have the SLP high flow intake.
I recall one 'over the hood' day last year a few riders were noting bogs. Assuming it was the piles on snow sitting on the dash.
I saw no such bog that day.

Unless you plan on using a fuel controller to change the making I wouldn't do more than an slp intake. It requires you to TRIM the upper intake horns. Removing any more material than the suggest or removing the horns completely actually causes a loss of power with the stock mapping.

So those removeable inserts that lay inside the cold air intake under the dash MUST stay in unless you have a fuel controller?

"Loss of power"....as in too lean?

I've always been afraid of gutting the air box. There are implications for too much air mixture. To me, it's a sketchy way to gain some HP unless someone like Struther's is guiding the work. Even then, Polaris could tell you to pound sand if you burn down.

I removed the upper air horns in my 2012 and 2013 works great, no bog. You don't need a fuel controller.

I've ran it like this at sea level on cold mornings on 87 octane with the resistor in the premium setting.
