been riding for about 7 years and only a big scratch on the face for me as a branch hit me in face while boondocking through the woods up Skalkaho with the visor up.

In 7 years only rolled the sled only twice with no injuries.

Have one friend break a vertebrae and just this year had another friend in the hospital for 4 days after crashing into a tree after loosing control coming down hill. Took 60 stiches in the forehead, broken ribs and will likely need shoulder surgery.

This year.... dislocated shoulder, broken finger, scar on the chest from a tree I hit, 1 big rollover

Previous years... 8 inch gash to the bone on my left leg, busted lip, tree limb into the armpit, a couple rollovers

All part of the fun!

P.S. One year I did puke into my helmet after a loooong night of drinking.... that hurt me more emotionally than anything else. The helmet was retired.

that's friggin halarious!!!! Did you wear the helmet for the rest of the day?? The smell must have been incredible.

I have only gone to the hospital twice, once from a puncture on my leg from a bolt and the other thought I broke my ankle but was just a sprain.

but had a friend brake his knee cap this year

I also crashed hard and broke a vertabrae, chipped the corner off it, hell of a ride out let me tell ya, now it is Be Wear vest every ride. My bud's call me 50 cent, don't care though.

Twisted my knee bad(ended my riding for the year) two years ago didn't go to the doc (which I regret) had the same knee swell up this year for no reason, went to the doc he drained some to see what it was and it was blood. A blood vessel had burst, not sure if it had anything to do the sled incident or not.

been riding 25 yrs and 40,000 miles logged with no porblems until mar 1 of this year. going down trail about 40 come over a hill and there is a sled coming up the other way at about the same speed or faster so i'm on my side of trail and i keep going to the right half my sled is off the trail and he keeps coming right at me and we hit head on. it turns out he was looking off to the side and he was only 13 by him self no insurance. we both flew over bars luckily we didn't hit each other too hard when we where flying thru the air and it all happened in 1.5 sec. i flew over the bars and landed flat on my back on the icey trail and my back still hurts been going to the chiro for about a month and a half now but it's not back to normal. also bruised kidney and ripped ribs loose from muscle which was the worst part. now i have a new xp on the way

I had a very disturbing injury two weeks ago. I landed a little cockeyed jumping off a small cornice and had my shoulder dislocate to the rear. I didn't crash and wasn't concerned about crashing one bit during the whole incident. Posterior dislocations are extremely rare and happen to old brittle people more regularly than younger folks. I went home, took a long look at all the gray in the mirror, purchased a comfortable rocking chair, bought some magnifying style reading glasses, comfortable slippers with robe, some fresh cigars, a fresh bottle of Tangle Ridge and assumed the position I'm afraid to leave for fear of having my other arm fall off.:confused::mad::eek::beer;:confused::mad::eek::beer;

I twisted my ankle really good stepping off a snowbank at the snopark, not even on the sled yet .....put the boot on real fast before it sweeled up and rode all day, paid for it for weeks after!
Yesterday a riding buddy broke his arm just below the left shoulder as his foot got cought in the footwell on a Apex and it flung him into at least 1 tree, maybe 2 as it rolled down a thickly treed hill. We slung it with shirts and he rode out double....and not the easiest ride out either. He had surgery today. :(

I can relate to that. In '02 I tore my ACL, MCL and sprained one of the others (can't remember the exact Name of that one ) at about 10;30 AM, and was dumb enough to try to ride the rest of the day. DAMN! I could barely drive the truck home that Sunday.(or sleep Saturday night) But I was able to survive without surgery ( Thanks to Dr larsen at the U-Dub sports medicine clinic) and to this day my other knee gives me more trouble..... SURE DID hurt though!!!

I got landed on by the forum member sled head, watch out when he gets airborn;) My leg was jacked, as my sled rolled over my leg at the hip, or what was left of my sled atleast atleast. And my arm had absolutely no energy for about a week, it was weird like i barely had enough energy to hold a drink to my mouth, must of hurt somethin in there as well during the impact. That and the leg set me back a week or two

Outside ski missed the ramp going onto the deck. Sled didn't roll off till about 3\4 the way up. Ended up with very nasty groin injury. Sidelined me for about 3 months. Never thought loading up would be the most dangerous part of the day!
Buddy fell off the deck and busted his collar bone. Sold deck immediately and went back to a trailer!

If racing incidents count then let's see. 200 plus stitches back side of leg (picks), collar bone, shoulder blade, 3 ribs on the back, bruised lung. That was one wreck. And about 6 ribs and varius sprains, in my display of lesser abilities. :D

Cracked sternum, dislocated both shoulders, broke both ankles, right knee is practically destroyed, lower back issues

:(

Yes, handle bars to the chest: that's why I now wear a Tek Vest!
And I did somthing to my leg 2 years ago bailing off my sled on a bad re-entry attempt
Not really sure what I did, it's ok now though. I no longer attempt re-entries either :)

did you but your hand behind your back and then twist to pop it back in?

Messed up my back. Fell off trying to carve (ran out of talent about halfway through). Luckily I was about 2 miles from the cabin on the way out on the last ride of the year. When my buddy quit laughing at me, he decided he'd show me how it was done...he got thrown off too.
