have engine number, now I need VIN

Hi,

I have an engine number, but now I need to somehow get a vin number...the tunnel does not have a stamp on it.

I believe it is a 2006 800mxz

Finding a vin based on a motor number is very difficult but not impossible. I was able to find the vin on a suspected stolen snowmobile I was investigating by contacting the corporate office for Polaris Industries. Based on the motor number they were able to tell me the motor number was used in 15 different snowmobiles. Since only one of those sleds was delivered to the state of Alaska (location the sled came from) I was able to come up with a vin and verify the sled was stolen. I do not know if Bombardier used the motor number in the same way. Also I do not know if they will release that information to the general public. Check with your local SkiDoo dealer they may be able to help. The more the sled has changed habds the more difficult it will be to track.

the only way it cannot have a vin on the tunnel is that it has a after market tunnel , thier all stamped at the facory.
