Have 06 M7 do I have to us A.C. APV oil

I have a M7 and I was just wondering if I really need to use the A C APV
oil that they say or could I us like blue Marble or synjex or other synthetic
oils any one know or has used other oils without problems info appr.
thanks

Their are plenty of post about what oil to run.. But I would just run any synthetic oil you want.. I run the amsoil interceptor in all my sleds and never had a problem. Lot's of guys run blue marble and so in.. It's just what they perfere...

I have the same sled and I dont believe on the synthetic oil. A friend also has the same sled and when we took them in to be serviced they asked what oil I run cause it burnt so clean. Then i told them that I dont run cat oil I run cheap 2 stroke oil from canadian tire or walmart and they said to keep runnin it through. I have never had a problem with running that oil. All the synthetic is a waste of money!

yea well news for ya buddy...your dealer is planning a vacation to Bemuda and needs some marguraiti money..so i would be tellying ya to run the cheap stuff too...your engine rebuild will fit nicely into the holiday fund...l have worked on ...towed too many sleds where the bottom rod bearings let ya down after long long hard pulls or 70 mile lake runs using Canadian tire oil..your dealer can't see into your crank looking at your power valves

BS, i agree with him. High price full synthetic oils are a waste of money. i use lucas semi sythetic and it works fine. 20 a gallon....

ive used it through plenty of long pulls and deep days...

Thanks for the info it seems to me that cats APV oil is more expensive
than other synthetic oils that probably are just the same or maybe
better what about those synthetic blended oils
thanks

you do have a point there, i cant speak on walmart oil as ive never run it. all i was trying to say is super expensive BM or manufacturer oil is a waste of money. There are plenty of good brand oils for 1/2 the price, like Lucas or Phillips 66...They make oil for just about everything out there, and every part of a machine...i trust them.

I posed that question to the service manager at the local dealership for my 2 cats and he said AC oil is overpriced and recommended Yamalube. According to him, same stuff different price.
