Hauling two sleds in trailer for five

I have a Mirage bumper pull trailer that can haul five sleds but I usually only haul two. I am aware you want more weight on the tongue but I was wondering if I should haul them side by side or one behind the other what do you guys think?

I would say load/ haul them any way you want to. A 5 sled, steel frame enclosed trailer is heavy enough that unless the sleds are 2 Yamahas parked backwards at the back door or both nosed all the way forward you wil not upset the tongue weight on the trailer.
Proper load distribution would be to have the center of mass of the load just forward of the center of axles.

Tongue Weight

I have an aluminum 24' box, 5' V, triple axle R&R.

Hauling three sleds, one Apex XTX and two 155 RMK's.

I ran the two RMK's in first so that the first one has it's skis against the back ramp and then the 2nd RMK in to where the toe of the ski touches the back of the other ski.

I then drove the heavy Apex in same direction and stopped well back to manage any weight effect from the two RMK's being beyond the axles.

Drove 100 miles this way, some waggle, but more pronounced when someone would pass met. I had a slight cross wind but I was mostly driving into the wind.

Leaving for Colorado Friday after work.

Would you pull one of the RMK's back either over the axles or back in front of the axle to add more tongue weight?

In hindsight I should have probably driven them in from the back so the engines were towards the front of the trailer?

I don't really have a spot here in the big city where I can unload them and start over as the driveways are too short.

Thanks for any advice you can shed.

Drive them in from the back. The more weight up front the better. No way would I pull them with all the weight in the rear.

I would load them all from the back and put the two RMK's up front and spread the rears apart and then put the Apex in the center between them.

Gear, luggage, and gas cans at the back of the trailer if you need to.
