I would think you could find 110 race gas for $5.00/Gallon somewhere with $60.00 crude. Has anybody in the SLC or Reno area found affordable gas yet?

Best I've found is $6.05 a gal for sonoco 110 here in WA.

I got some in Billings Montana for $385 for a 55 gallon drum of 112 octane of sunaco and that was in August so its probably cheaper now.

The last time gasoline was $1.70, race gas was $4.50. I think I will buy it buy the gallon and hope I see it come down by Christmas. I might not even be riding by Christmas, we have no snow.
V.P. c-12, $699 for a drum, math tells me thats $3.41/ liter or $15.33/ imperial gallon or $12.70/ U.S. gallon. This is in Calgary Ab. priced yesterday, sales guy told me its because they pre bought it all when it was REAL high and have to pass it on to us.

I have a feeling there's going to be some stale fuel floating around in a year or so....
No way I'm paying inflated prices like that when you can pick it up south of the line and pay half of what it is here.

i may be mistaken, but i thought race fuel was NOT petroleum based.that's why the price hasn't been coming down.

Can you run leaded fuel in a fuel injected sled? A buddy said he thought the lead could plug the injectors. BS or not? Thanks

Yeah it's BS it runs just fine. The only thing leaded fuel plugs up is catalytic converters and there are none on sleds.

We're waiting for av gas to come down but it hasn't dropped much. I was told that they have to shut the refinery down, clean everything out and make a bunch of it then go back to making gas. They haven't made any new for awhile so we're still paying a lot. Race fuel might be the same deal, be patient and buy lots when it gets cheap.
