Has anyone tried the "Racin Station" fuel maps? How are they working out?

I know the folks at the Racin Station built several fuel maps for different Arctic Cat appilcations. I'd like to thank them for taking to time and effort to do so.

So how are these fuel maps working out?

I have the SLP performance edition kit with the SLP air intake on my M8 and I'd still like to lose the 8 lbs a BDX airbox would allow. Has anyone tried the Racin Station fuel map specifically designed for this setup?

If so, how does it work?
Any bogs?
EGT readings?
Fuel consumption?
Is it comparable to SLP mapped performance?

I just thought I'd ask before I go ahead and try the map.

I believe I have gotten back to you. I explained that I did not have a PC 3 map for the M8 at the time and would let you know when I did have one available.

I have been working hard on 2007-2010 M1000 maps for all the Speedwerx configurations and the SLP configurations. These have been my highest demand maps.

I do have a great demand for M8 maps and am doing my best. It is just that I can only squeeze so much into each day. I put in 12-16 hrs every day. Remember I have to fix broken down Jags that are just as important to those owners as your M8 is to you.

No problem at all Racin Station. Thank you for building the maps.

I was just curious how the maps are working out?

Thanks again

You have always called me back and done a great job in answering all my questions. Might not be the same day but I know how buisy you guys are this time of year.:face-icon-small-hap
I will be running Racin Station porting and a PC5 set up buy them also very soon.:face-icon-small-win

judging only from the quality informative posts that RACINSTATION has given this site.....well, he rocks:light::face-icon-small-hap

I myself would also like a map for my slp full pipe setup and bdx intake- i do know that SLP does have a map for you guys with the performance edition package. I have also tried contacting racinstation about a fuel map for my setup and hope that he can have one sometime this year- does anyone know what he charges for the map??? i have tried contacting a couple times with no response but i do understand he is very busy!!! keep up the good work and cant wait to get a map!

I have a 07 1000 w/09 update and full speedwerx set up. The RS map is very close and the sled runs great. I do have one rich spot but if I didnt have a wide band O2 I would have never known. Thanks again RS

I would guess that Racin Station must use an air/fuel gauge also to determine where to set the maps?

Thanks again for the info guys.

I use EGT or A/F for baseline. I prefer EGT for 2 stroke. Then I check plug color and wetline in the pipe at varied throttle openings. Once I arrive on a map that works, I then plug in the autotune and take some recommendations from it for the 5000 rpm and up range. It usually only varies 2-4 points once you have a good map. I don't like to use autotune for below 5000 rpm as it does not react quick enough and you get absurdly rich numbers there because when you do a quick hard pull the engine is under load and the autotune is trying to add fuel at a rapid rate to compensate and actually "over does it". Once fine tuned with autotune, I then field test it in varying conditions and then have a couple guys test in various elevations and there ya go!

Sounds good racinstation- if you can let me know as soon as you have a map for the slp pipe kit and bdx intake on an '09 m8 i will take one! thanks for all your hard work!! :present:
