Has anyone seen or used this helmet cam before?

A helmet cam with a built in gps. Its a contour gps helmet camera. The video they have of it on their website looks pretty sweet.

I'm surprised no ones seen this. It displays your elevation speed and where you went along with taking good footage.

Ya i thought about that. If you don't wanna give your secret spot away then i guess this isn't a camera for you. I also saw that it was a new product but must have missed that they havent been shipped yet. oops

I wouldn't buy a camera that gives away the goods. Other than that, the contour is a great camera.

I think it would be pretty cool to see the elevation changes and speed changes.

I have a Contour HD camera (looks similar w/o GPS info). I've had nothing but problems with it. I have some good footage when it works, but the on/off camera switch doesn't work consistantly. So I have to just shoot all the time once it is working. That's a lot of editing when I get back to my computer. My buddies switch works fine on the same camera. I'm working on getting it fixed or replaced. I choose this camera because it didn't stick out as much as the GoPro does.

I also have a problem when I turn the switch off (to stop the camera). I use my glove and always seem to open the waterproof case. Those that have the camera probably know what I'm talking about.

Contact Contour! I had two problems with my Contour HD 1080p camera and even had to send it into them, they replaced my camera with a brand new one even though mine was fixable but they did not want me to have any down time. AWESOME customer service!!!

My switch came loose too. From pressing harder than I thought I needed too. The button barely needs to be pressed down on to activate it. If your pressing hard enough to unhinge the back door your pressing too hard.

Contacted contour and they sent me a brand new in the box, not refurbished camera. Even when I explained that replacing the switch on the circuit board was fine with me. The entire process took less than 5 business days.

Send the service dept an email and they will respond in hours not days.
