We rode there Thanksgiving weekend and there was almost 6 feet at the top settled down to about 50 inchs now

Ya, quite a bit of snow up there by all accounts and with the avy danger way low I think getting back into the really good ground is possibly doable...

We are doing an Avi course at NCMG's this weekend and we're considering taking our sleds as well and going a day early for some riding. It sounds like there won't be much, if any new snow Wed night and it hasn't snowed there in a while....... I'd rather not take the sleds to go ride hardpack.

Go west of Winthrop on Hwy 20 to Mazama area. Snowpark:

Read up on "Dead Horse Pass" and be prepared to shovel it out if/when drifted over; it's a long ways to the bottom.

2000 is it all ice? We will be at the cabin there for the week after Xmas hoping for some snow but doesn't look good right now.

I just got back from a three day avi course and we skinned to almost 5k on Delancy ridge (up hwy 20) Sunday and the snow was absolutely horrible. It might not have been that terrible on a sled, but there was a solid crust from the valley up. Far from good snow.

I suppose up higher it could have been a bit better, but my gut was saying not much!
