Harts Pass 11-18-2017

Wilderness Area.

Not sure who was out at Harts Pass last weekend that would be in the wilderness area but...

Goats Beard Mountain Supply said someone on snowmobile was high marking in the wilderness area at Harts Pass which is not allowed and they closed the gate.

So no access until snow is low enough at the gate.

Very frustrating.
No reason to go into wilderness area when you have more than you need to explore out there.

Know before you go.

"Methow Valley District USFS saw sled tracks in the Middle Fork of the Pasayten last week. Pasayten Wilderness accessed from Hart’s Pass area. They put out a press release with photos I believe. Sounds like they plan to reopen December 1 when their Snow Rangers can do patrols up there."

So anything in green or purple is wilderness.

Yes. Because someone was riding where they weren't supposed to be.

I would like to get in contact with the Methow snowmobile club to talk about getting some signage up there with a map showing people that dont know the area where the wilderness area's are.

We as snowmobilers dont need more enemies than we already have. Lets make friends and keep more area's open.

This BS just pizzes me off.

Keep up this crap and we won't have to worry about riding.
Cause the tree huggers will get everything shut down.

We as a snowmobile community need to knock this sh$t off.

if they win the current court challenge that is going on now... you will be trail riding ONLY

I don’t care how illegal riding becomes I’ll keep doing it! At any rate harts has become a blow out thanks to the crazy amount of ppl and mad wilderness excursions. Hope snow hits soon so only the few will be there and not ruin it any more

Guys listen, It doesn't matter weather you ride in the proposed wilderness or not...The government and the courts are going to do what there going to do regardless of people riding out of bounds period, end of story! People riding out of bounds isn't ruining it for the rest of us, in fact, we probably need MORE people to do it!. The areas we ride are going to continue to be taken until there is nothing left but trail riding...I hate hearing, " we have plenty of area"... that plenty of area now, becomes less later with new rounds of closures... Some good old fashion civil disobedience just might be what is needed! It sucks the road is closed, but that isn't the big picture.
