Hard Starting 10 horse

any ideas on why a 9.9 outboard would be insanely hard starting? The boat will sit for 1-2 weeks without being used. Then it will take up to 20 pulls to start and run.

seems like when it gets gas, as I can smell and see in the lake, it will try to start and run but sputter out. Once it's going it is fine and will start right up when it's time to move spots for fishing. However the next morning it will be hard again.

I have noticed it starts better when the throttle has more gas then the start position.

could the gas b crap after sitting in the motor over night or all week?

gonna go pull the plugs and see how they look....they were new last fall.

Also the intake for the gas line will sometimes be real loose where it goes into the housing. Could this allow the motor to be sucking air? If so why isn't it running like crap and only starting like crap?

Help me out here fellas, it is to nice to be dicking around getting this figured out.
