handwarmers??????

are the handwarmers on a 06 summit 800 just the little aluminum foil lookin elements or are they inside the bars???
my wife starts her sled turns them on high and never turns them off so they are burnt out, i need to fix them but want to get parts before i tear into it

Im not sure. What I do know is I believe I have rev grips on my 99 670, which were about $60 a pair and the heater is built into the grip thus illuminateing the crappy foil. My aftermarket fly bars don't soak up the heat, when there on high you really notice it and when on the trail for a bit I usually turn em down to low... I swear the right ones hotter than the left... Hmmm. Anyways im guessing there built in...

the grip heaters are actually built into the grips themselves.....i had to remove mine to run fly bars....i too had to buy the foil ones.......not too stoked on the new heaters......i think heat maybe all of my heat is absorbed into the aluminum and POOF! its gone!!
