Handler bar steering?

I was looking at a picture of the m9000 4 stroke and it has a different steering set up then the telescoping on my 14 le. It looks from the pic that the bars are still vertical but about 3 inches forward from mine. Would this set up work on the 800? I searched to see if this has been talked about already, so I apologize in advance. Just want to know if this would work, I want to get my bars forward and not have that funky steering arc. Thanks

I thnk you could make it work, will take some modification. The problem is the back leg of the "trip-pod" looks like it attaches near or will interfere with the pull rope on the 8s. Anything is possible though. If I don't like the standard steering with the post forward block, this might be the next route I try. Unless Cat does something different with the 15s. :face-icon-small-hap

Yeah the only interference I could see would be the pull. I think i could move or modify that easily. I think I'm going to order it up. I'll post some pics when its installed .Thanks

If you don't like the slop in the vertical steering, you will hate the mushy noodle that runs the m9000. The post is only supported by a inch or so then there is a u-joint. I can rock the ends of the bars up and down a good inch when tipping sled up in showroom. Not very impressed.

It can be done. buddy has a 2012 HCR that has the 1100T steering setup. Pull rope is off to the side, but still functional.

I would try the standard post with a post forward before adding all that junk to a sled.

That setup adds weight, limits you on riser & position, and might still not get you where you want to be.
