Handlebar height

With all this talk about high and low handlebars, I'd love to put in perspective what everyone considers high and low. Typically I like to measure from the running board to the center of the bar when I setup my sleds. I realize that on some sleds, like my REV, it's not exactly vertical from the furthest forward point you can measure from on the running bars to the bars, but it's close enough for my curiosity.

Take a moment to measure and post your height. Of particular interest would also be if you have steering modifications like post modifications on a Cat, or what sized bars you ordered with your Pro or Axys. Post the rider's height as well.

or don't and we'll let this die :deadhorse:

I like my elbows to be slightly bent when standing straight up. Spent years of being hunched over all day and have no urge to ever go back to that type of uncomfortable setup ever again. Remember a lot of guys preaching short bars are short themselves;)

I have an in season no option model '16 Polaris Axys, medium bars maybe? I am 6' 3" tall and have left it untouched. On my previous Pros I had a 2" on my '13 and a 1" on my '14.

I can stand straight up and ride but the Axys invites a lot of leg action to toss it around. I find myself not needing or wanting taller bars for aggressive tree riding, even though I used to! My '02 Edge had a 6" riser, my record...LOL

I'd like to see others preferred height as well, 2" riser, pro bars etc, how tall does that make the, from the running boards?

I run an old King Cat with bars that are right at 36" from the boards. Different animal from the new sleds but it does ok. I'm 5'9" so I would not want them any taller. They seem a little tall in some circumstances but low in others so I guess they are about right.

My buddies 13 RMK is right at 36" bar height as well.

I'm at 37" if you measure on the angle. My Rev bars are centered 9" forward of a vertical line at the front of the running boards. That puts me about 36" vertically above the front of the running board.

My buddies 2012 pro is only 4" in front of a vertical line at the front of the running boards and his bars are also 36" up.

We are both 5'10".
