Handle Bar Riser question

Putting an 8" riser on my snowmobile, have the throttle cable extension and brake line extension. came to a problem with the wiring being to short obviously. is the easiest way to just clip them and add them? was looking it over and it looked like i might have to just clip 3 or 5 of them. if any body has an easier way of extending the wire any help would be appreciated

all i have on my bars are the throttle cable and brake line. I moved the key switch to under the cowling then I moved my reverse switch to the hole where the key was. The headlight is on high beam all the time, and I don't run hand warmers.

Easiest is to cut them and splice in additional length. Solder the new wires both ends and finish by using heat shrink tubing on both ends of new wires.

Also throw away your throttle extension! they are nothing but trouble. Order an extended throttle cable instead. About the same price, and reliable. Ive seen too many run away sleds from the owermad extensions. They freeze and stick often leading to bad things.... They also break quite easy.

hahaha no worries i bought the extended throttle cable, cuz i've heard bad things about the extensions. but i spliced into the wires and used butt connectors and shrink wrap on the wires. is there anything i can to for support on the stearing post down, cuz it looks like with 8" i'll be putting quite a bit of stress on it!

uhmm

Sounds more like extra long legs, and extra short arms. Or just wants to look cool :face-icon-small-coo

And yes, go back and solder them or in time, you WILL have electrical issues.

Isn't that what a T-rex has? Long legs and short arms? Hahaha, sorry, had to put some humor in here. :crutch:
