Handle bar riser--how high, 04 Rev-X

Thinking about adding a 3" riser on top of my existing riser. Can this be done without changing out the brake, throttle, light sw, etc?

If not, how much riser can I add to avoid all the above?

I am at 11 1/4 " without adding extensions and that is about as far as I can go without adding.

I have had the standard 800 summit and the x in 2004 model year. If you do have the x you will have no problem adding riser to it

I added a rox 3.5" riser to my 04 x no problem at all except having to reroute a couple of things and cut some zap straps.

I had the XP tall riser on my 05X. Worked good.

I ran custom 13" risers on my 04 x.....no problems. I think I flipped the throttle cable to the opposite side of the steering post for clearance.

how tall are you? have you had any problems bending the steering shaft? had it happen to me with my old gen 2 polaris

I'm 6'4" and 270 lbs.....ran these risers on my 04, 05, and 07 with no problems. I was wary of the length and never reefed on the bars when I was upsidedown or stuck or anything, mind you.
