Handle bar riser for 01 Summit?

Currently have an O1 SUmmit 700 144 with 2" riser, problem is I'm 6'-1" and want to go to a total of 8"-9" of rise.

I was thinking of starting with a Power Madd pivot addapter (1.25" rise), this would allow some foreward tilt so I'm not hittin my belly with the bars, then a Power Madd (or other) 6" or 8" riser.

I know that I'll have to replace the brake line with a longer one, and the throttle cable too... good idea? any other suggestions or manufacturers other than Power Madd?

My throttle isn't particularly sticky but should I just extend the old one, or buy a new longer one and is this difficult to do.

Thanks

I've been looking into this as well, and am just going to stick with the 2". I don't think the throttle and brake are a big deal, but extending all the electrical wiring looks like a PITA. From everything I've read, people are pretty unhappy with the extenstions and a whole new cable is the more reliable route.

I got a 4" on one of my 02 zx's with just a brake line. Its pushing it though. got a 2" riser on the other 02 ZX with nothing changed from stock. Both are non "X" model sleds.

Im 6' 180 pounds and I have a 8 in riser by powermadd on my 02 summit. The throttle extennsion isnt the best idea, it makes the throttle pretty hard. The brake cable I got off of a salvaged kx 125 front brake and works great, alot cheaper than buying a extended one. Make sure you reinforce the steering post by cutting the top off and put in a solid shaft. Then pull airbox and drill holes in the shaft and plug weld them up so it don't move. I have broke two steering posts before i did this. Nothering worst than pulling a sled out of the mountains with no way of steering it. You will like the taller riser but take some time to reinforce it. For the wiring it will pull far enough without problems. Good luck and have fun with it.

I have a powermadd pivot adapter and 6" powermadd riser's on my 99 summit 670. Oh, im also 6'. I don't have a windshield on mine so anything bigger than 6" riser would look tacky. With the pivot adaptor (A MUST HAVE) its just shy of 8". I could have gotten away with a 8" riser but..... With the setup I have now I can stand straight up but only if my w**ner is rubbin on the bars :p HAHA :D. If I were your I would get the same or the 8's, they would be perfect for you, although the 6's are very nice. I'll attach some pics of all the parts I got and the final look. ( bought and installed them all bought a month or two ago, its was $402.00. Hope this helps you. :D

I'm raising the bars on an 02 Summit, already extended cables and electrical. Ordered the 8" RSI risers and pivot adapter but the problem is I don't want to replace my stock bars at the moment and it looks like I would have to in order to use the RSI - would have to switch to a flat bar. Then I was thinking about the PowerMadd pivot risers but it says on the page "Not for use with the Summit"???

does anyone know of an straight-angled riser or pivot riser that will work with stock Summit bars? Rox maybe?
