Hand Warmers and High Beams dn't work.

Ok ....so I noticed the end of last year my hand warmers on my 13' Pro stopped working. Well today I noticed coming out in the dark that my high beams don't work either. But the low beams work....? I don't have a clue where to start.

If the low beams work... then the connectors are not seated all the way on the switches as AK said... Have you ever removed or loosened the console?

There are, unfortunately, NO locks on the connectors for the switches... heck, the connectors don't even look like they were made for the switches... Poor design on this part of the harness.

I'm kind of surprised at the total "hodge podge" of connectors used on the sled... Delphi, Molex, Sumitomo, Yazaki, SAE Rubber, Packard, Bosch, JAE, Tyco, generic bullets, generic flags.

I'd like to see some refinements in this area in the future if possible.

Did you get this resolved?

Thoughts and observations if you did for other readers to benefit from ?

check your brake throttle blocks, if they get turned very much(twisted up/down on the bars) they can damage both the heater elements and /or the wires them selves. as for the headlite, if you ride hard(banging bumps/big air with hard landings) you can knock the filament out of the bulb..of course, you could have wiring connectors not completely mated as well........

Will dig into it tomorrow. I have had the console and hood off quite a bit. So I imagine it's a bad connection.

Same issue: no headlights and hand warmers gone

During my last ride on Saturday I noticed the very same thing. Both my low and high beams are not working and my hand warmers worked half the day.

I read in another thread on here that it is possible some moisture got into the connectors found in the nylon bag just above the primary clutch. I messed with this bag when I was installing the Power Commander so I'm assuming that is part of the issue. It's mentioned that you should apply some electrical grease to the connectors and then tape them up.

I'm picking up my sled from my buddies tomorrow and will report back what I find.

Hoping it's nothing more because I need my sledding fix every weekend.

I just dealt with a similar issue on my Rush. This was the problem:

Handwarmer connection was broken. Turn them off, head light goes on. Turn them on, headlight goes off.

More details here:

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem a few weeks back with the hand warmers not working. I took off the center console and the connector to the switch was not seated all the way. To stop that from happening again I got some of those 3M zip tie anchors one on each side and a zip tip over all the connectors. Cost about $5 and hand warmers have worked great ever since.
