Hand & thumb warmer codes

Just picked up an 858 M cat, and had it out yesterday for the break in ride.

After about 20 miles started getting error codes 1600 & 1603, which would come in together at the same time. Both of which are open circuit codes for the hand and thumb warmers. So I’m thinking it might be opening somewhere in the ground circuit… also looks like there is a relay that is common with both circuits.

Hitting the easy button to see if anyone else has experienced this with their 858? Yes, it is covered under warranty, but dealer is a couple hours away. So if it’s something simple I’d rather save a couple of trips.

Does your hand and thumb warmers work?
First day out on mine, no handwarmers. Thumb warmers worked. I thought it was 1605 but maybe it was 1603. The factory pinched the wires and it shorted when I turned it on. They had to replace the whole switch and part of harness.

They both quit working when the code comes in. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order.

I would ensure they have the most updated flash in that also while your there.
