Hand Grip / Handwarmer Removal

i was wondering the easiest way to take my hand grips and warmrs off my '09 rev xp, without wrecking them?

Cut the grips off very carefully. They are only about $5 each from the dealer. It isn't worth wrecking the heater parts that cost about $40 each side by trying to remove them as a complete unit.
I took a razor blade and scored the grip careful to not go all the way through, then pulled on it with a pair of pliers as I finished cutting it all the way through pealing it back as I went down the length of it.

Use compressed air in the hole on end of rubber grip. it will expand enough to slip off. install in same manner.

I think his main problem is trying to take off the heating elements without breaking the elements. I used aheat gun once and it didn't work very good. did yoy break your bars or just changing them?

i want to replace the stock bars with a set of DD handle bars.

Use Air. The grips come off in seconds...Great for putting them on as well
