Halfway Riding

Can anyone tell me if there is anything going on in Halfway the weekend of the 12th-14th that would have to reserve rooms like the crab feed or anything else? Thanks in advance!

Are you talking February or March? because in February it's the Poker Run, Crab Feed in March

February and I was kinda figuring that there was something going on but couldnt remember! I guess if all else fails we will stay in Baker!

Halfway pics coming...

MacAttack and I rode Jan30th - Feb 1st. Nice soft snow about knee deep and is snowed the day we left so there should be more for the ladies ride.

We should have some pics coming soon...

Thanks for the report mc2stroke. Leaving here in about 2 hours

From looking at your signature, Halfway must of beat ya.

Crab feed is March 13th. I believe.

A group of us will be heading to Halfway next friday for the weekend so hopefully there is some more new snow by then. Does anyone know if the restaurants or bars are open on Sundays and for how long?

I was there last Fri thru Tues. Stockmans rest. closes at 7pm, bar soon after. Wild Bill rest. at 8pm and bar at 9 or ???

We where up in the high country today on the west side of little Eagle and if I must say this weekend will make for some good riding if the weather holds. It has been putting some good snow down on our side of the mountain. And as a rule Halfway geats even more snow on there side. We have gotten around 2 ft. this week!!!! I'm ready for tomarrow.

Sundays are slow and as Mac said the streets roll up early!!! Unless you have a good sized group to pay the light bill!!!!

Thanks for the info it has been a couple years since I have stayed there so was not sure. I am sure we will talk them into staying open a little later at least one night! Well I guess we will cross our fingers for decent weather because when I rode there a few weeks ago we got turned around a couple times with another group but ended up still having a great day!

WOW! the snow couldn't get any better last weekend. It dumped up there Thursday night and there was at least 2 feet of new snow, making riding great if you were able to see where you were going on Friday, and then Saturday turned out a nice day and the riding was good! I also enjoyed riding with all my sled chickas!

This coming weekend is there poker run, and will be heading back.

Hope you ladies saved some for our group, we will be there sat. and sun. but probably not going to ride in the poker run just going to take the guys from over here and show them around!

Well.... Let me think about that............ NOPE! :face-icon-small-hap

Just kidding. There should be some spots for you guys to play in. Where I was Saturday there were plenty, and don't ask where I went, because honestly I don't have a clue! All I know was that I was between Miles Mtn and Cornucopia, and we were just boondockin along.

Chance of snow starting Wednesday thru Saturday.

Well as long as there is a little untracked left I am sure we can make the best out of it. Friend of mine in La Grande said snow to start thursday so crossing my fingers.
