So we arrive Friday night in the small town of Halfway Oregon. The bars were wanting to close and go home and call it the day, but with us they stayed open. We met up with our friends who were waiting for us at both bars to dicuss what we were going to ride tomorrow.
Saturday morning we wake to foggy skies and wondering ideas. Our friends from Seattle (Steve and Karen) decided that it would be best to head home since they had been riding the last two weeks. We had 10 in our group and off we went. First at the sno-park and unloaded, up the trail to where adventures awaits us. Soon we were off the beaten path and playing in powder that was just pleasing to get STUCK! we head up towards Trinnity. Ohh did I saw stuck... yes I did! twice for me and once for Christina. There was at least 2 feet of powder and many trenches thanks to the guys ahead of us. We get to the top and u can't even see 10 feet in front of ya, and Kevin says we are going down there... where? So we drop down out of the fog to see. to foggy to play we climb back up top towards Fishlake/Tower and the fog started to lift, as soon we drop down it turned to blue skies and the riding was free sailing, WooHoo so nice to see. So we played, played, here and there, so it was in the afternoon and as we climbed this hill Jon lost his balance and off his sled he went and of course his sled found a tree. We had to do some work to the sled to get it out, he was able to ride it out but it needs work, maybe a new tunnel.
All day we played in 6-12 inches of powder and there were no tracks other than ours. In the trees the snow was deeper.
Our turbo ran great!
