Hail Storm..

It sucked bad..............

They the "National Weather Service" claim a tornado never formed. I beg to differ..............

My car was blown about 10 feet off the road from a stand still (44th / Ward Rd. )

Looked over and noticed a 5th wheel rv rolling by, without its pickup.

Every light pole in the area was either snapped at the base or just gone

I have never seen hail pound your car then get pulled back off the ground back into the storm

The good news is from the reports I have seen nobody was hurt or killed.

It was a wild night...............

Yeah, I live in 1/2 of Chris's house.

Chris had 2 windows out on his side of the house.
1 garage window was completely gone, others are broke.
And the 1 window on my truck.

I gotta give credit to w/e Honda puts in those Elements..maybe their even a plastic? But all the other car windows were OK.

Just hoping I have more than $1k in damage now to make the deductible worth while. hah... How fast does body damage add up? Hood, roof, and most of the side is toasted w/ hail damage. Any ideas? And I'm assuming the glass/window/windshield will be covered by this, reguardless weather I have "glass covereage" or not??

Anyone know where I can get that small rear window for a 90s GM truck? Junk yards? Or anything.'

I wouldn't doubt if there was some tornado action some where in the area too. It was blowing hard. It was very weird hearing the storm come from the west through the neighborhood. I was lookin out the window wondering WTF is that? Was like something out of a movie..

WOW! Glad I live over on the West side where storms don't have time to grow like that. The biggest hailstone I gave seen up here was a tad smaller than a 1/4 inch.

Sucks and I hope ya'll get taken care of soon.

storm mayhem

out of hand. started by us up in arvada and then mowed through wheat ridge/lakewood. had to be a tornado or microburst in spots; have never seen hail moving horizontally. thought if you got caught outside in this, it would probably kill you. paint, stucco, whatever literally sandblasted off the north side of houses. if i wasn't half asleep when it started, would have pulled the tapex out in it and called the insurance man......he he....

We just got rain, lightning, and wind at our house. The only thing I had to do this morning was go out and stand up our trash can that blew over - we were lucky this time.

hail

what's really unbelievable is that this morning i went to bobcat of the rockies on 6th and indiana and their yard was BONE dry; figure that one out!

That sucks! We got alot of hail but it was really small. It was wierd seeing white all over the ground this morning.

got hit with nickel size hail in Monument...they reported 1.5 inches of rain in 30 minutes! We ended up with 4 inches of hail on the ground...what a winter tease!

Did a little bit of damage to my fifth wheel, putting about a hundred dents on one side. Called Stated Farm and said it would be covered and they would get back to me tomorrow with a "cash settlement" amount. Waiting to see how it all pans out?

Hey, any of you guys who have body damage...

There's a new body shop in Dumont run by a fellow sledder called Quality auto body. The owners of this company have many years of body & paint work, and just put up their brand new crossflow paint booth.
Luke the paint guy is known in summit & our area as being the best painter around. He does heavy detail work, but also does a just plain good paint job.

Support your local sledders!

btw, the lightning was amazing from here, it was like looking at a stadium in a football game, constant flashing from somewhere, but WAY brighter.

Good luck with the insurance guys.

I was just West of Brighton. Lots of wind, lots of lightening, lots of rain. It was crazy listening to all the tornado sirens going off everywhere. No damage to us, got lucky.

My brothers place got hit hard. Took out his window's, siding, roof, gutters, vents... Also destroyed his new(er) motorhome, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Altima. Busted his 40' elm in is yard and laid it in the neighbors. Looks like a hurricane.

Thing that sucks is his lease is up on his Tundra next month. Now he has to pay a $500 deductable just to get rid of it.

It's all GWB's fault! No water, no electric...

KT, I'll def give him a call. Just got my estimates done and 3 cars all have over $10k estimates. I haven't heard back from the insurance company on how they want to handle. My guess is they will total the Honda Element. I am probably going to use this opportunity to put a flatbed on the back of my truck. Permanent sled deck :)
