Last dec 30 i shatered my femur by hitting a rock. Tonight a freind and I went out and did a little ridding just about a 20 miless of ditchbangen. It was a blast but i was a still a little spooked and a little gun shy of doing alot of hard riden. My leg did good but after i got home i noticed it is a little swelled up, but I can take the pain for the fun of the ride, it was well worth it. I am hopen we get a little more snow in the next few days or it atleast sticks around to take a good day ride this weekend. I wouldnt give up this sport for the world.

i understand how difficult it it to come back after a serious injury and ride 100%. i've gone through the same thing with basketball and sports in general. i found that after a sprained ankle, even a brace made me feel better - just knowing that i had more support made me more comfortable.

it will take time ofcourse to get back to what you feel 100%. push to your limit, but maybe not all the time.

and well said, wouldn't give this sport up for anything.

that last line says it all. i thank dad for getting me into this ever time we ride. anyways i messed up my knee last year riding. it was painful march through june but the doctor said it would just take time. finaly feels right again but you can bet ill be wearing my knee wrap and my new padded klim pants all season!

Glad you got back on the sled, I had a bad motorcycle wreck years ago, broke my neck and scapula along with tearing several ligiments in my shoulder and fighting blood clots for months. Anyway I was never able to get over the fear of riding. I would always ride timid while on the bike. Ended up giving up the sport, figured I'd run more of a risk riding scared than riding like I use to which was pretty agressive. Luckly the timidness never caried over to four wheelers or sleds.
