Guys with BDX Lite Diamond Drive Help???

Quick question! On the stock drive shaft that came out of the sled, their is a white spacer that holds a black rubber cup up against the stock direct drive to keep water out of the bearing. Well, as you know the BDX drive shaft is longer on that end to mate up to the new Lite DD and that white spacer is not near enough to use that rubber cup. My question is, did you just leave that off and leave the bearing exposed? I thought about making a new spacer out of PVC pipe to shove that rubber cup against the new DD. I'd like to hear what you did on yours. Thanks!

I thought about the same thing . I just left every thing off . I figured if BDX did not send new parts , they were not needed.

I have not had any problems with that bearing or seal.
