Guide Service

Happy Holidays! Myself and one other are staying in Island Park Jan 3rd thru the 10th. We are looking for a guide for a day or two for backcountry riding. We are experienced riders and have been riding the yellowstone / Island Park area for numerous years. We just want to discover some new areas. Anyone have any referrences to a good guide?
Thank you

Where are you staying and where would you like to get to?
My sled is out of commission or I'd come ride with you.
I might be able to give you some GPS tracks if that would help.

We are staying in the IP Village area around the golf course. We would prefer to find areas within riding distance of the cabin but were not opposed to trailering. Sorry to hear about your sled being down, crummy time of the year to have problems! Looks like the snow is picking up out there, how far is Rigby from IP?

Since I broke your sled, the least I can do is offer you mine if you want to borrow it Turbo!

You're looking at approximately 75 miles from Ip village to Rigby

Sorry. Was kind of busy working tunnel wrinkles out.
Yup about 75 miles from my house to IP.
Which side of 20 do you usually ride? East or West?
Also where would you like to go?

island park

We will be coming from Eastern North Dakota with a group of three or four Jan 1-5 maybe later. We are ages 19-20 with avalanche gear and have been to avalanche classes and all have been to the mountains a few times. We arent the best riders but not the worst either. Wouldnt mind finding someone to ride with that knows the area. As we usually only go to Cooke and the Bighorns.

Have been on both sides. Would like to find some off trail around black canyon or jefferson depending on the avalanche danger. Had a guide last year for a day and went to a couple areas down low because up top was socked in. I have a couple calls in to the dealerships for guides but havent got any confirmation yet.
