Curious. Take the piston. And drop it in the top. Does it drop down and stop under its own weight ?

Sorry already back together.. we did not have to drill a hole in it though..... if that's the question.

Which intake/carb r u running. I dont recall. No decomp ? Looks good
So I am going to run a pod filter being this is a snow only application... I have a 38mm billet smarty with the heat collar. According to gss the way it is ported a girl with high heals could start it.... so we will see:D

I was going to put a primer but are you saying the Smarty will make it harder to start then a regular carb once warm? My only experience is with a Lectron on a 300

Warm it starts first kick. Cold not so much. The choke circuit doesnt give it enough fuel when cold. Primer will prob be the ticket. The Smarty is very bike specific. 300 seems to work well. 500 not as good imo.

Starting wise right? But as far as running and altitude compensation I should be good? I am concerned about riding from 5000 to 11000....

What reeds and which frame ? There are clearance issues with the Smarty in a steel. Avid heater has to be clocked at an angle. Mine does anyway. My Smarty is coming off for the beginning of the season.

Ive ridden to 7500. Thats it. Seems to run the same all over especially at WOT. I have had it not start after sitting. Just couldnt get enough fuel to start. Thought it was flooded but it wasnt. I also think they vibrate way more than the conventional carb. Jmo of course. Ill see what the pulse brings.

Boyseen carbon reeds in a 97 steel frame... we will see if there is clearance here shortly. What does clocked mean at an angle?
