Straight from the horses mouth:
I talked to the USFS ranger today who is over powersports while I was trying to figure out if you have to have sno-park parking permits displayed on your rig here in I-da-ho.
Coolest guy I've talked to from the forest service yet, he told me YESTERDAY 12/4/12 they started grooming the from the high altitude lot on the way to Brundage. I'm not familiar with this area yet myself, he said you go striaght through McCall and then make a right hand turn at the "Brundage Mountain" ski resort sign. He said the lot is up that road before you get to the resort.
He said Pilot only has 6" and probobly isn't ridable and definitly not being groomed yet. He also said there isn't enough snow down lower at McCall to groom out of Warren Wagon quite yet but that could change over the next few days with snow forecasted to fall in Boise iteself.
I might take a drive up to Morse Creek lot tomorrow just to scope it out, I'll report back on what I find.
