Trails were groomed from Francis Wallace Parking Lot to Burgdorf Hot Springs and from the West Mtn. Groomer Garage (Cascade), Anderson Creek, 4 Corners yesterday. Groomers will be on the trail during daylight hours as trails are opened up. Secesh Stage Stop will be open 7 days a week this winter 10 AM - 5 or 6 PM. Burgdorf Hot Springs is closed through December 17th. Grooming report http://www.secesh.net/Groomer.htm

I have never been to McCall is it nice area to boondock? And how does it compair to west Yellowstone for off trail riding/trails for some others in group and places to eat/go out to? Also is it a trailer to parking everyday place or can leave from hotels like Yellowstone is? Thinking of changing our trip in middle Jan to here from west Yellowstone

mccall is one of the best places in the west, there is supposed to be a ton of moisture coming this week, like feet of snow(if its snow not rain) and we just got a foot yesterday, so that on top of the 2-3ft we had, there could be a good 6 ft of snow by friday. and yes ive allready done some offtrail riding

Granite has a pretty good snowpack out of the Upper Elevation Parking Lot. We picked up 8+ inches of snow Friday. More snow in the forecast.

Thanks for the info! It is one hell of a drive for us but if that is where the snow dumps it should be worth the drive!

It still snowing like crazy! 18" in the last 48hrs and 30" in the last 72hrs. With another 1-2ft by weeks end!

Those snow totals are from the parking lot, so at elevation could be close to 1.5x that much snow. Happy riding and be aware of potential avys with all this fresh snow.

Now that is what we wanna see! Open terrain isn't so much what we are looking for. Looking for some early season Treelines... :face-icon-small-hap

So any new reports on snow after the storm this weekend? Should have the sled back together and plan on ridding the 19 and 20 and maybe the 26,27

Stay AWAY from the Brundage Inn. The woman that runs it is a flipping crook, stole our entire security deposit from us when we moved out of a house she was managing. Still debating a lawsuit........

Many good options

The Holiday Inn Express is good. They are right across from the Pancake House so you don't have to drive around for food. There is a Best Western south of town that has a very large parking lot. No walk to restaurants though. Shore Lodge has more limited parking but has great food in-house. Probably the priciest in town. The Rustic Inn has worked to clean up their rooms for those on a lower budget. The Super 8 on the south end of town has good trailer parking. You'll have to drive out for food.
