Yup, they can be used just about anywhere these days. Proved during a demo in soft ground flotation is key to not making ruts that will dry up and cause potential hazzards. Pic was from last week at a very major airport, of course I would be involved for those of you familiar with me.

You've got tracks on that....

You're at an airport.....

It's a conveyor no doubt. Turn it on it's head, stick a plane on it and let us all know how it really works. :p

I thought these were cool....

Tucker with dump box to haul snow to our trails with below normal snowfall.

Then there is the model with the crane boom to get heavy sleds (like mine ;) ) un-stuck.

Those are some darn good replies fellas! Good work.

I really like the conveyor belt one. I don't want to see it start again but that digging up some history there.

So what were you demo'ing at an airport? Mower? Tow rig? thatcher? sand trap drag? Do those have air conditioning?

Just curious.....

Air is an option.

It would be more based on snow items in the cat 3 landing areas of the airport. Blowers, mowers were mentioned and ideas of a lot more around the place were thought of.

RMK7: Why would you know and then why would you tell the world that is what is on your mind? You are one strange MF'er!

It don't rip it apart while turing as long as your moving a bit. It does a little bit but remember all tracks turn, and if you don't have air lockers installed and turned on it's a open diff.

yep, just like those track skid steers. As long as you are moving and not doing spins they are much better for grass. Especially if it is wet out!

u guys are still using the aggressive tracks to up here on the north slope of alaska in the summer time we run real smooth tracks to do the least damage to the tundra as long as ur moving they dont tear up any thing

i had heard the tuckers do better where the ground is flatter.......

Funny "you" should bring this up! Except for pusing mountains of snow back up the ski slope the Tuckers are the vehicle of choice. Well unless of course you want to get all your stuff from Canada or from Germany and wait and wait and have to call people at all hours of the night to fix your stuff. Then that's cool too.

Yup, called Tundra tracks. Which are available but this one in the shot was a trail groomer, I'm sure a lot of things would be optioned out differently for this application at the airport.

"you" ?????????????????????????? huh???????

it was a joke dude. sorry.

It's all good, I know it was a joke looking at it one way but then looking at it the other way and knowing you from other grooming sites I know exactly what you really meant.
