Waste of grooming money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish they would wait for some actual snow to groom. Is anyone actually riding in this crap?
I got third hand info that the contractor who got contract for plowing the snow parks on I-90 is planning on using a single axle dump truck and a back hoe.
also he was asked what he was going to do when he gets behind?
His answer was to shut the parks down till he catches up.
Not trying to stir the pot, but I trust the information and if thats the case how did he get the contract. How can you expect to keep all of those snow parks clear with those two peices of equipment.
Does anyone know contractor? I hear he is out of Ravensdale. Does anyone else have any info on the parks.

eric, i agree with you . just save the money and wait for more snow. i didnt know the groomers could chip through pure ice....

I dont know of any grommers at least in the I-90, Lake Cle elum, manastash or Greenwater area that are running yet, Not enough snow and it's hard as a rock. It would definately be a wasted of money. Also I think that 3rd hand info on the plowing was incorect, He has more equipment than that. The contract called for some pretty good equpment and enough to do the 5 snow parks.

I bid on the I-90 snowplowing, there is no way they would have hired him with a single screw dumptruck and a backhoe. The request for proposal required the use of 1) plow truck 56,000 gvwr, Grader, and a snowblower, or any equipment equivelant to that. A single axle dumptruck and a backhoe are not in those catergories.

I was going off the Washington State Sno Park Grooming Schedule
Since I originally posted they have made some changes.
Example: Gold Creek now is scheduled to start the third week of Dec.
Others have not posted when they will begin.
Some Chelan County parks show grooming started Dec 1. But I doubt that happened.
