Is there any way to get the heated grips off a 06 rev without wrecking them?
The kid wants to change his bars.

The kid wants to change his bars.

Couple ways

High pressure air nozzle will loosen them and or blow them off.

In the bike industry they apply and remove with hairspray.

Can use WD40 , or similar and get the little red nozzle extender and work it under the grip spray and work it in.

There's a way!

Tools: Box cutter w/new blade
Heat gun
Heat stable glue or epoxy
electrical tape
1) Score the grips, two for each grip one on either side then peel them off.

2) Warm the grip warmer thats underneath(set the gun to LOW) and then peel it off.

3) Spray or spread the glue sparingly, place the warmer on the new bar and then wrap the warmer in tape, wrapping from the inside of the bar to the tip like a hockey stick.

4) Buy a set of grips from a dirt bike shop b/c the stockers are garbage and put them on.

Wire the new grips on, ask at the Dirt bike shop if they have any.

Wire=No Slip grips!

1/2 hr easy
