grinding the primary ramp to gain RPM...

looking for a rough estimate.....would removing 1 gram on each of the three weights on a 2010 stocker give me 200-300 rpm?

sure would hate to trim too much:face-icon-small-dis

You regrinding the ramp angle or just wanting to take some weight off of the weight itself?

another option is to get a primary spring with a higher finishing rate.

ive ground alot of ramps , to lighten and change profile. 1 gram wont be enough to gain 200-300 rpm. try 2 grams. of course you can always grind more but soldering wt back on is a pain: :face-icon-small-sho

LMAO:face-icon-small-hap......thanks for a quality post:face-icon-small-coo

I you want to pick up 300 rpm you would be better off going to the next lighter weight cat makes.

I took 1 gram off my 68's on my 2010 hcr and got 300 R's. Took it from the sides, tip to 1/2 inch back, 8000ft elevation...

I grind it off the bottom profile, start at the knuckle of the heal, and back to the tip keeping the same profile. I've taken as much as 4 grams doing it like this, a gram isn't a whole lot of material.

You could go down a few thousand feet.

Or stiffen the secondary spring.

Ps. grinding the side of weights is quite a normal way of adjusting them. Use a gram scale after the weights have cooled down, or melt a profile of the ramp on your scale table. A strip of heat foil works well.
