Caught up to the groomer, tracked up, sunny, snowed and tracked up. slushy and bouncy leaving.

Gates open. Slushy and bumpy on the way down.

Bring chains. It will probably be icy in the morning. Plowed to 72. Hit and miss,rutted in places.

Everyone bigger than a 2 place was chained on 1 on truck n 1 axle on trailer. 14-18 inch slabs were breaking on some slopes. TRIGGERED.

THANK You XPS! In the air heading home now. Darn near 90 deg in Phoenix today. I am ready for the hill. Going to take my daughter up in the morning if you are interested or if we see you there we be in a big brown Ford crew with 27' enclosed. On new Doo's. Can't miss us we are (newbies from he'll) the ones trying to learn like hell how to turn and sidehill on the small stuff. Man we must be quite the gong show at times! how was the road up over the matterhorn?

Not sure where the Matterhorne is but the last half or so past the gate has slush and running water in the ruts. If it freezes over it will require chains. All of the trails seemed to be groomed with about a foot of nice fresh no tracks until the way back.

It is the, i would say, two mile section of road just past the gate that winds up and then down to get to and from the upper snow park.
