GREENWATER THIEVES STRIKE AGAIN!!

Went up to goverment medows for my son's 16th B-day this last sunday! stashed some dry gear at the cabin since it was raining all day. We were gone for a little over a hour and when we came back all are packs were ransacked and they stole all our dry gloves and gear not to metion the beer!! At least they left us a sandwich and a half full gatorade?? lol!! I don't post very often ,I just thought I would give a heads up to all those who ride up in the greenwater ghetto!! This seems to be a common theme up there. Trucks get broken into as well as trailers. If anyone catches anyone thieving pm me and I will head up asap to help teach them a lesson!!!

that really sucks. The last time I was in Priest Lake I had left my pack in the Warming hut about 14 miles from Cavanaugh's. After about an hour I realized what i had left at the end of the day...all sorts of expensive goodies in it. It was dark and we hauled arse back up..record time. Pack was right there in plain sight and no one had so much as moved it. Thats how it should be. One very fast ride back...oh crap there's a moose in the trail and I was sliding sideways..stoped in time..close one. Moose was a lot bigger!

Greenwater certainly attracts a special crowd. . . . twice I have come upon 10-11 year old kids left alone on a mountain top while their parent(s) are off riding some where. Theives, child abandonment . . . . Greenwater!

That why you don't leave yur walet ,laptop in the truck.

You could leave a note up there stating you left yur gear in the cabin and it got relocated.

I've heard stories about peep getting things back.a couple shady characters where in there and they knew it didn't belong to them,so they took it and posted on here and left a note later in the day..02

If u don't know them u can't trust them........

Oh yea !! We learned our lesson. We won't be leaving anything anywere from now on! The point to my post was to warn all other's who go riding up there. On previous trips there was gear hanging all over in the cabin drying out,that's what made us think are stuff was safe? Never again!!

Thanks for the reminder. You like to think that everyone up there is of similar morals and such but even as far out as we get from the city you can't seem to escape the bad guys.
