Greenwater access?

How is Greenwater lately? Specifially, the road in? We've never sledded there, just Jeeped in the summer.

Is the season shot in the butt up there or is there enough to get some road/trail riding in?

Is the infamous lower gate open or closed?

How is the Matterhorn?

Towing a 27 foot trailer and dont want to get in a tricky situation is the reason for all the questions.

Thanks in advance.

Piece of cake lower gate opened and no major problems right now but use caution as alot of areas will be wet with ice in the mornings now(from materhorn up), expecting snow later this week but minimal, if we don't get some soon we will be towing from snow park up (following snow) and there are only so many areas to turn a 27 ft around or long backup.
i tow a 24 usually unless it gets bad then load 2 sleds on flatbed and 2 sleds on small trailer, still alot of snow up there and lots of good riding areas if you know where they are. good luck.

WIDE OPEN, BARE PAVEMENT ALL THE WAY IN

You could drive your corvett up there no problem, still plenty of snow, but might be loosing some with all this rain right now, snow level will come down,

I take it NO prime rib tonight!!:face-icon-small-sho

yep afraid not there is literally no snow on the lower spring creek road from the cutoff down to whistles. Snow is sketch in lower areas of milk, pine and spring creek. Hell i was over at my cabin near whistles (WJ's) two weeks ago and was outside playing horshoes in short sleeves while my sled sat on the trailer.

Oh yeah and then some (beverages). We did get some riding in up to bald mtn, upper barber springs road, manastash ridge road however the sleds were close to overheating due to no soft snow as there was an inch or so of ice over softer snow underneath. Of course that was two weeks ago.
