I just got this email....interesting:

Although many of us are at the beginning or middle of our military careers, a few of us are...well let's just say we're closer to the end than we used to be. Potential retirees frequently talk with me about their plans for future jobs. Some are hoping to stay in government. Some would like to get as far from government as they can!
And some
- well, they just aren't sure what they should do after leaving Uncle Sam.
There are many excellent sites that assist veterans with future job plans. In addition to that, the New G.I. Bill offers a lot of benefits for those wanting to retool.
Several sites caught my attention lately. It appears that "green" technology will be a growth industry for at least a couple of decades. With that in mind, I found multiple organizations that work with veterans to help them transition to green careers. I can't endorse the sites, either professionally or personally, but offer them up as examples of organizations that are actively working to help link veterans with a new and dynamic industry. Here's one example http://veteransgreenjobs.org/.
Whatever you decide to do when you retire, remember to keep "first things first." Whether you're actively wearing the uniform or bringing it out for Veterans day parades, just know your service is appreciated.
Blessings,
Robert
