well just got back last night from a week trip from revy, eagles pass, turrtle mountain and trout lake. and other than the first day ride at frisbee, the snow was great every day
meet up with four buddys from montana and all great mountain riders, we covered alot of ground, rode with kyle and dave Micku from TSS and they showed us some great terrain
we had two modded m1000, 163 proclimb, stock etec, 860bb, trask etec, aero etec, 880 bb, and one polaris pro, three timber sled 450 wz and kx snow bikes
we did all sorts testing and swaped sleds to find out what we liked and did not
we did a few poo, doo, kitty comparsions, and all tracks equal, poo handles very light but their flat sterring needs help, much more seat time needed their , new proclimb to me felt more stable, and was easier to side hill for my style of riding, as for the stock etec, this was what i was use too riding, and prefereed
as for climbing, and all three sleds were running well. the proclimb and poo were close, from what i seen the proclimb needs some better attack angle or suspension setup since its pulling the skis much higher and trenchs quicker, or its the poorer track, speeds of 40mph were seen, as for the stock etec, it had considerable more speed than the other two(49mph) and dominated each climb, he could give the poo a second start and pass bye two thirds up the hill, it worked that well
m1000 against the etec were another story, the etec was close but the tq of the 1000 with a stock track beat it, but they were close
as for the timber sled mountain bikes what a blast to ride, i know what i will be doing with my kx 450 now, just amazed me how i could side hill up the steepest of hills and it felt like i was on a goat trail, great change from the sleds, but i see nitrous injection comming soon, wz had its hands full
as for the 880, it ran flawless and belt drive chaincase felt like less ressinatce, ran circles around the other n/a sleds, can wait to compare against turbos
as for the trask or trash turbo, tss did a few mods to trask kit and it looks very good, we went with a boost it box, bigger injectors, and a different down pipe. a/f is back in check and ran 7lbs boost the day i ran it, pulled 57mph track speeds with the stock 154 track and pulled hard, but still having oil leaks from the oil tank and need some minor fueling concerns, hessitaion is getting better off the start
as for the aerocharger, i am now sold on it, back in 2008, i did the 880bb and after one season, i stated that brp should really consider this motor, now after riding the etec turbo, i am saying the same thing about it, this thing is so sweet, and spouls up so quick that it is almost perfect of my style of tree riding, or shoot climbing, just never misses a beat
i ran 7lbs boost, and hitting 71mph track speed with a three inch 162 on, this is with a stock skid with a few mods, it was such a blast, and took me to a new level of power and traction i have never seen before, climbed shoots and hills that even tnitros had issues at, if this motor does not blow up, and a ride season with out issues, this will be a sled of the future, other guys rode the sled and a few have tnitros and they said it worked very very well
over all great week of riding, and now some stiff bones today...lol
have 32 gigabytes of video to run threw, so here are a few to start with...lol you can start to here how well the turbo spouls up
