I'm going to Michigan in 2 weeks. Renting a sled for 3 days from the 23rd thru the 25th. I'm looking for someone to ride with at least part of the time. I've never ridden in the area. I'm going alone and staying right in town but would prefer some company on the trails at least part of the time. I am planning a 2nd trip next month to the same area. From what I've seen on-line there are trails all over the place and some good snow right now, but things can change in 2 weeks (hopefully for the better!). Having someone along that knows the ropes so I don't break any laws would be greatly appreciated! I'd be willing to negotiate a tank of gas in exchange for the local knowledge, no problem. I want to take the sled up to the UP from Mackinaw City take the sled across the bridge to the trails starting in Saint Ignace. If not this trip, maybe next month.
