Grandview/Bountiful Access

Anyone know how to access bountiful/Grandview from the Morgan side?

arthur creek and up the pipeline is probably the easiest access. not much snow down low though. most all of that land is private and probably requires gate access to some of the roads. Cant say for sure as I have never been up from morgan.

I know if you parked at the top of east canyon there is a hiking trail that follows the ridge line all the way to grandview. I have heard there is access from east canyon resort as well. It would be worth it just not to have to ride the road from the B up.

take it from someone who has hiked lookout peak ridgeline, its not doable in the winter on a sled (tried it too)

as far as from east canyon, on a decent winter you can do it. But you better be ready to forge some tight creek bottoms, climb a big open face, and sidehill some ravines :)

my latest en-devour is getting from farmington to grandview via gold ridge. PS are the chutes open up banner? i heard there was some large trees in the way...

As a person who has lived in Morgan his entire life and been to the top of most all the peaks in Morgan, the good old days of riding where ever you want are gone. Everything is private anymore and you need to know someone to access it. They patrol up above my house year round for the cwmu and don't want any one trespassing. Oh the good old days, one day my dad and I would ride up on durst mountain and the next day we would ride up at the towers and the land owners where good friends and did not care. I am lucky enough to still have an in for above the house but requires a lot of work and every year it is questionable. Hardscrabble can get you up to the pipeline and that will connect you but you would need to find someone that would give you access through the gate at the bottom. I have not rode the pipeline for a few years but it can be pretty fun.

Its a shame when you cannot access public lands because of private land... The government is working on changing this, though I think it will cause more problems than it solves.

wish I knew the names of where you talk about. Grandview and Church know now. We rode beyond that as far as we could before was running out of snow. We asked the guy we was with the same question and said the same thing Phatty mentioned, doable but restrictions and knowing where to go was the key. You can get into good trouble quick. right now though, from what I seen back in there for snow, NO BUENO... I Still would take my chances driving up the road a ways and unload.. Was a good ride for been my first time in there,, :face-icon-small-coo
